I can't seem to stop thinking about her... Ever since the day I held her hand and fiddled with her fingers trying to loosen the piece of twined string she had on them. I can't forget how easily she let me have her hand, how easily she let me just take and hold it and how gingerly i took it in mine. At that time it didn't seem like much, apart from a repressed surprise that a girl who was just only a new acquaintance would allow me to simply hold her like that. But the days passed, and i kept thinking about her. She wasn't pretty, wasn't cute, but there was something so beautiful, so powerfully attractive about her maturity. It beguiled me and I liked her for that.

But more than that, she was just so easy with me, so easy to talk to, so easy to laugh with, there was no reason for me to hold myself back, she just accepted it wholly. And how quickly she took to my presence when I came to her, how fearlessly she leaned her head on my shoulder when i sat beside her and how she could just touch me without any kind of worry. And every time she did, i'd feel different, not in a bad way, but it was like, a kind of quite happiness that a girl would be that way with me - something i haven't felt since... So long before. And yet there was some kind of gap, like she didn't want me to think of her as entirely a friend, almost like she never wanted to be just friends. But every time i get that feeling, i take one glance at the ring on her finger and i think i'm wrong.

And oh what lovely eyes she has, such a bewitching shade of brown that i always fall deep into and can't break free from. Every time we talk, i can't help but look into them, i don't want to turn aside and i just want to keep looking into them forever. It's like they speak to me in their own words and it's like my own eyes plead to meet with hers.

Maybe i'm finally moving on from so long before huh.
About time.
