Well, the archery compy went as well as i expected it to. I lost in the first knock out round. During the first round of the day i spent 9 ends trying to get the right sight before i realized that the bow i was using was my old one, and then i finally got back my sight. I managed to hit a series of 9s and 10s during the second round and caught up from near last place to 3rd place, but during lunch something messed up my sight and i lost the first k/o round.

So, i guess anyway you see it, i just need more training. I'll take it as a sign - save your money and get computer parts instead of a new metal bow. Come September holidays, all my spare time is just going to go into getting back my old shooting form. I used to be equal to the number one, and i must try to be that again.

I felt so bad though, not because i lost but because i let so many people down. I felt so bad when Hafiz walked up beside me and told me to stop thinking so much about how i was standing and shooting, that i should just shoot as i normally would because i should certainly be able to beat just about everyone. Felt bad when Horace told me that he expected me to be champion and then me losing so quickly and so badly. Felt bad when my mom gave me that disappointed face when i got home and told her i got k/o-ed in the first round. Felt weird when people were saying how i used to be on par with the best of us- when at that time i clearly wasn't.

Sigh.. I Hate letting people down

So heres my congratulations to all three of my mates who got the top 3 for guys, and my girl mates who also got top 3 for the girls. You dudes and dudetts certainly deserved it, especially after all that training effort.

Jacob.
